Well that was Grueling.

What I thought would be an hour interview turned out to be a two-hour selling myself session. Ugh! First he asked me to tell him who Munin was and then he went on to pick apart every little point on my CV, questioning me about why I am still partially in school and if this is a good thing. [gulp] 'Well sir, you never stop learning and ...' Munin grasps for nearest reason which is not at all forthcoming. At the end of the interview he asks me the question which I dread most "Why would you be good for this company and what makes you the ideal candidate for this particular position?" My response; 'I am hardworking and though I do not have many years in this field I do bring some expertise with me, though admittedly they may be minute.' What I really wanted to say was 'Well just because I am, Sir. Why don't you just hire me and find out, yes I might muck things up, yes I still have a large learning curve ahead of me, yes I do not look my age and hence people do not take me seriously at times, but please sir just give me a chance. I may yet prove to be useful.' I guess the interview went ok, round three happens tomorrow with someone else and I have been warned to read up on my stuff, as I will be tested. [mild groan of fear] Ugh, I am not good at tests; this job is turning out to be a test of will power and determination just to get my foot in the door. Hoping tomorrow goes well, dreading the fact that I might muck everything up, thinking that maybe I should just apply for pencil pushing jobs with the minimal amount of stress.

Update: well it's been pushed off until tomorrow, GAH, impish fiends these interviewers be. I am now going to go and get wax slathered on my legs and hope that it doesn't rain.
