Monday Mission 2.18

1. Do you have any tattoos? If no, why not and what would you get if you did get one. If you do have one or more, tell us how you came to get it, and why you chose the design you got inked with?
No tattoos, though the idea of getting one has been a constant debate of mine for several years. The only problem in getting one is I do not know where to place the tattoo nor do I know which design would be more symbolic of who I am, i.e. I have not found anything I like as of yet. Originally I had thought of getting a small Celtic knot tattooed on my ankle, but I do not think that would be deemed appropriate in a professional engineering world.
2. Has anything ever happened that caused you to believe, or disbelieve, in a Higher Power?
Yes, there have been many incidents in the past that have made me believe that there must be a higher power, guarding spirits if you will. Though if you asked me if I believe that this higher power was responsible or creating the universe I could not say yes.
3. Have you ever seriously considered, or even attempted, suicide?
No, there is too much in life that I want to experience.
4. Has anyone you have known committed suicide?
Yes.
5. This weekend you and I are going to the nature park for a picnic. I'll bring the blanket and make all the arrangements. You pack the picnic basket. What's inside?
Delicious bottle of South African wine, fruit to share, cheese, some nice fresh croissant and baguette, thinly sliced ham, prosciutto and melon.
6. Have you ever been mad at God for something that happened (or didn't happen)?
Yes, the death of innocent children.
7. Post (or describe) an image of someone that is no longer with us. Tell us about that person.
I don't have a picture of my great-grandfather at hand; he was a warm gregarious man with gentle eyes. A man known for his kind heart and full laugh, an active chain smoker who would volunteer his time at an old age home so that he could help the elderly, he did this up until he was ninety-two, two years before he past away. I have every fond memories of my great-grandfather, but what I remember most about him was is ability to love and to live life to it's fullest.

BONUS: Who are you?
All I can think of at the moment is of the CSI theme song, which I now is based on another song whose name now eludes me. So I shall say 'I am the terror that flaps in the night...'
