Splurged on hair products and a haircut today, currently feeling guilty about it. Not so much the haircut as the hair care product that I picked up. My hair has needed a trim for some time now, and the hairstylist was sweet enough to lop off 3 inches [I think it was three inches] and add in a few layers up front. He then was kind enough to introduce me to a hair mask that will help eliminate the split ends, thicken my somewhat thin hair out a little more, get rid of the tangles and moisten the dryness. I am all for products that will help my hair detangle itself, there are some days where fingers can't get through the tangled mess, never mind a hairbrush. Those are days when my hair will land up in the ever-present messy bun/ponytail and I will not touch a hairbrush for the next couple of days, just too painful. This gets much worse in the winter when the heaters spew out dry heat and my hair is a static ball. So after all was said and done, I kissed a couple of twenties goodbye and walked out the salon with both my pockets and my hair feeling lighter.
