1. Do you answer the phone on the first ring? Yes or no?
Hugin doesn't answer the phone, which leaves me scrambling wildly, headless chicken like about the house for the phone. Takes about 3-4 rings until I find it. I would love not to have to answer the phone, but growing up with family living in less then politically stable regions, parents who travel also a lot and a mother who is allergic to all kinds of medication, you learn to answer the phone 'just in case.' Rather grim.
2. Which is worse: door-to-door salesmen or telemarketers?
Telemarketers drive me nuts, especially if they are the pushy kind and don't understand the meaning of the word no. We don't have any door-to-door salespeople who come knocking.
3. Which is worse: the phone company or the oil company?
The phone company, I never actually have to deal with the oil company.
4.Cordless phone, cellular phone, or corded phone?
All of the above, though I had never though I'd get a cellular. Though now that we have it just seems to be handy.
5.Phone number: write it down or remember it?
Remember it if I am about to use it otherwise I will right it down. My brain's just wacky that way. I can remember telephone numbers I dial them at least twice, otherwise I have to write them down.
6. When you tell a date, "I'll call you", do you mean it? Yes or no?
Yes, though I have not been on very many dates. But I did generally try and call the person back.
7. Do you own one phone? Two? Three? More?
We three phones at home, though you can never really find two when you want one since they are cordless and almost never on their base. The third one's not connected; it has gotten old and scratchy sounding.
8. Have you purchased anything by phone? Yes or no?
Never have, [slaps forehead] well that is a brazen lie! After some thought and a bit of coffee I realized that yes, I have. Ordered my climbing shoes and harness by phone. [sheepish look]
9. Have you ever called someone and then hung up before you spoke? Yes or no?
Yes, when I was much younger and dreadfully shy.
10. Do you own an answering machine?
[nods] ' We are not available right now and don't care to answer the phone, please leave a message after the beep' A luverly little service provided by our phone company.
