Meme Day.
I am dubbing today a Meme day. This is due to the fact that aside from a burnt thumb, I really should remember not to tightly grasp a piece of freshly ground metal as it is bloody HOT, and a knocked in hand nothing else of interest has occurred. Oh! Well I did manage to finish off a project in class and I welded a band saw blade together, which led to the burnt thumb..
Monday Mission
[Alas we are a day late...]
1. What part of your body would you most like to change? Explain. My knees and my left hip. My knees as they are wrecked beyond much use, they creak, the squeak and on hot humid days they swell and on cold humid days they ache. My hip because it has a tendency of locking up at the most inopportune moments; Step off sidewalk onto road, hip locks, the rest is a waddle. Aside from that I am pretty much content with the rest of me.
2. What are the Blogs you absolutely must visit each time you log on, no matter what? The Blogs found to the left of this are the ones that I tend to visit. Some more then others, some daily, some weekly and some when I log on.
3. What part of your (current or most recent) significant other's body would you most like to change? Nothing. Nothing at all.
4. At what age would you consider yourself as "old?" I don't really consider any specific age to be old, not quantitatively. Then again this is coming from someone who occasionally will reply sixteen as her age when asked. I am nearing 30 by the way so this is way of the mark. I believe that age is more a matter of mind, how you perceive yourself, how you act these factors are generally influenced by your experiences in life. I have met 70 year olds you are young and I have met 30 year olds who are cynical and old.
5. I hear many stories about children who show potential in a certain area, only to have their spirits crushed by parents or teachers because they are told they aren't doing it right, or will never amount to anything. Was there a point in your life where you feel like you were discouraged in some manner that had an effect on your life? In high school my guidance counselor told me that I would never graduate from college, never mind getting in to a science program. I was devastated, so I went home to spoke with my mom. She told me that I could do anything I set my mind to. Well I have since graduated from college and am almost done my engineering degree.
6. Eek! I left home without my Visor today, I feel nearly naked! What item(s) make you feel naked when you walk off and forget them? For some bizarre reason my backpack and a book. If I don't have a small/large backpack with me with a book inside it I feel completely undressed. I think it has to do with the extended period of time that I have spent in school, coming on 24 years now, so it must be second nature for me to want to carry something on my back.
7. I believe we are all artistic in some form or fashion. Not just limited to drawing or painting, but carpentry, baking, music, gardening, collecting, you get the idea. What is it you do that best expresses your artistic side? I love to draw and paint and will tend to do that when I am feeling blue or sad. I seem to be able to express myself better then. Aside from that I love to cook, bake, take pictures, write and dance. When I can I also enjoy building things.
BONUS: Stop, hey... what's that sound? Everybody look what's going down. "For what it's worth" - Buffalo Springfield.
Can't believe I remember those lines. Now if only I can fid the movie it was in. Ah yes Forrest Gump.Though I am sure it has been in some earlier movie. Hmm...
