So, I'm at home on the phone helping out with a computer problem, which is what I do professionally - although not on the phone anymore and I am thinking about other people who are asked by friends for advice on what they do professionally. I imagine tax accountants, lawyers, doctors are all hit up for `free advice', but what about waste disposal engineers (`should eggs get their own bag?'), supermarket baggers (`should eggs get their own bag?'), professional hooligans (`should eggs get their own bag?')... Or to be a bit racier, prostitutes, sex-phone operators?
Is this a kind of professional hazard no matter the profession, or is it found only in certain fields?
What about that old advertisement for Hanes and inspector 12, do they get friends calling them up and asking for the best way to test waist bands on underwear?
