The End is Nigh.

Well not for another 7.6 billion years. That leaves quiet a bit of time to pack don't you think?
It's odd to wonder what will happen in the next million years. Will humans still exist? Will we have emigrated to other planets? Will we have come into to contact with new species, life on other planets? What will future humans think of their old ancestors as they dig deep into the ground, querying for information about civilizations lost? Part of me can just imagine people digging up some of our current inventions, perplexed looks on their faces trying to make heads or tails of what they have found. Or perhaps everything will be stored in museums [[or come up on their episodes of Antiques Roadshow -Hugin]], catalogued with long-winded explanations on how this gadget was used, why it was invented and if we really needed it. Maybe others will just be tagged with the word 'kitsch'.
Odd strange curious thoughts that have probably plagued us for ages, and will probably always will, but it is also the stuff that has made great fodder for imaginations. That has contributed to many an author's book and many an inventors creations. As for me, it will probably just keeps me up nights as I contemplate on what will be, what has been and how the heck I will be able to see it all.
