I like that something affiliated with Micros*ft has this article on it.
A list of things to do before you die, the scientist way.
The life gem thing is kind of creepy in a way...
Overwhelmed, underpaid and in desperate need of the holiday season. So that I may take time off and regroup, and spend many an hour in the company of loved ones, snuggled up with my love, watching cheesy movies. And if I don't get said time off I have decided that I am running away to join the circus, where I can frolic, play and clown around.
In other news, you can find me here.
Sarcasm:
In another bid to be annoynig and generally alienate the public who watches their stuff it seems that soon getting up to go to the bathroom during advertising will be a crime.
It's ridiculous, soon you might get a fine (the money to go directly to the movie industry) if you walk down the street and ignore a movie poster.
Comments are broken. I can not fix them without the help of an admin. The CHMOD has gone and changed itself again, much to my chagrin and vexation. If anyone knows why this is happening, or knows of a way to fix the niggling problem from re-occurring, please, and I say please with all the hope in my heart that someone has a solution drop us a line!
Update: all fixed! but... if anyone knows why...
The Great Winter Closet Exodus has begun. The bed's piled high with sweaters, turtlenecks, stockings, woollen socks, woollen pants and long underwear. The summer clothes are snugly stacked in piles at the back of the dresser, awaiting their spring release, and I. Well I think I am about ready to pack our bags and move to warmer climes, even though winter has only just begun to tickle us with her long cold fingers.
Why?!? Why do people have a need to fix things that are not broken? Can someone tell me, please!
It's always nice to solve a little technical problem that someone else has been unsuccessful in resolving.
The Incredibles was very good indeed.
If I'd realized that Pixar was available as a stock I would have purchased as much as I could last year when I first heard about the Incredibles and sold it around now.
I'm not really sure how well Cars is going to be received. My problem isn't with Pixar or the story, just how the public will take to it.
Finally having heard that Disney will do a third Toy Story is not sitting well. Trying to imagine what they can do wrong with it.
Will they get all of the old cast or will there be a problem and instead of Tom Hanks doing the voice of Buddy we'll get Iago. And let us not forget the singing that Disney is prone to. That will just be -wrong-
Still, you never know... they made a quite enjoyable movie based on a theme park ride, so you never know...
I can't complain too much about the search engine. After all, a search for `hugin' gives me 2nd spot as opposed to the same search on Google which gives me 5th.
I'll take the silver!
But I'll keep using Google.
The wonderful, astonishing, gregarious, and very dear to our hearts, Ed celebrated her birthday yesterday. Her age shall not be disclosed at this time, suffice it to say, that she doesn't look it. Ed, wishing you the best of everything. Hoping that you had a marvellously amazing fantabulous day, filled with all your hearts desires, yumminess, laughter, love and every tickly sensation in-between; fuzzy navels included. May all your wishes be granted. Many, many happy returns. Wishing you, once again, a brilliant and exuberant HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Go give her some belated birthday loving!
All our love
Hugs, squishes and smooches

"On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, Canadians are asked to pause and remember the thousands of men and women who sacrificed their lives fighting for freedom and democracy during the First World War, the Second World War, the Korean War and during peacekeeping missions." - CBC
In memory of those who gave selflessly of themselves, to defend those who could not, to fight for those who were endangered.
In Flanders Fields
'In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below'
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
Wahoo Firefox 1.0 was released today!
[Please note, however, that the site takes a while to load, seems a few people are happy about the new release ;o) ]
It's mildly amusing and a little scary that an email thread about being on msn messenger brings up links for chat spyware, pc spyware, and instant messenger monitoring for companies...
Soft morning light, dapples over the glittering breath of Autumn.
I believe in Republican tendencies such as cleaner air.... marrying a Democrat. Why can't more Republican's have that? It would undoubtedly make the USA a much more appreciated country from the perspective of the rest of the world.
Ate Tonkinese soup, got rained on.
Dark skies. Reflections in puddles.
Clouds and pensive thoughts.
