It's True

As was hinted at, and guessed in the previous post - I did in fact ask Munin to marry me.

It was a little tricky since I had no Fab5 to redecorate the place and refine me, so she had to make due. Damn you Fab5 for being in the wrong country!

Also she was in a grumpy mood. Never a good start I was thinking nervously.

I snuck some xmas goldy paper and some tape and went away to make a little ring - short story is that I don't have an engagement ring for her, long story is that she doesn't like diamonds (phew) so I was planning only on wedding bands in any case.
So I had my little ring and was trying to figure out the best way to ask her.
When she asks me what's the matter and that I am being rather quiet.

I do my mime of deer in headlights and bolt.
"You are so grumpy, how can I ask you to marry me?"

I don't really recall the details as my head was rather light and words did not seem to come to clearly, neither did thoughts nor anything else in what I felt should have been a more suave proposal.

The make-do ring didn't fit, much fiddling with the tape, it fits.

And that's basically it.
Except for us both being kind of shocked.

I had been trying to choose a good time/event to do so when all her best friends were around, but never seemed right or one friend or another wasn't there - decided not to wait longer as this has been going on now for a good six months.

In any case, now I need to find a nice silver ring to give her as an interum band to wear until something more substantial can be presented upon a suitable occasion when I shall no doubt stammer terribly.

But be that as it may be, I shall be very happy knowing she said, `yes'.
