Good Story

Here's one for Munin.
We didn't actually get to see it, but it's the spirit of the crowd's support that is the most touching.

My favourite Olympic moment is still Derek Redmond at the Barcelona Games.

He was a British sprinter favoured to win the gold in the 400 meters. During the semi-final, high hamstring snapped at the 150-meter mark. He kept going, but at a hobble. His father rushed out to the track and supported him for 250 meters, and then let him cross the finish line on his own.

The stadium gave him a standing ovation the entire time.

And that to me is the spirit of the Olympics, that coming together in support of others; not just those who win - everyone.

Especially between competitors.

I think it is just the respect.
