Hmm, now is that true? Is creation without purpose of value? I suppose some art could be considered to fulfill that criteria.
Is there benefit in creating a mousetrap better than other mousetraps? And continuing to build better mousetraps?
Certainly it is difficult to create in a vacuum. What is used in the creation of a faster car might have uses elsewhere. Some of the technical requirements might result in breakthroughs elsewhere.
So perhaps my question is flawed from the start, and that no creation can be without purpose. Or maybe my definition of creation is flawed. Perhaps invention might be better.
In any case, back to the car. For those who want one without paying the million dollar price tag...
