Another year older, another year gone.
The body once subtle and graceful has turned on its own.
The toes they seem farther and so does the paper.
The noises are dimmer and the text it seems smaller.
You crack and you pop, when walking about,
like some form of giant rice crispy treat.
But they years have been good,
filled with much love and good cheer.
Here’s to many more such years,
may each one see you surrounded by those you love
and may they be filled with the sound of laughter.
