It’s a sad day when sleeping in consist of waking up at 7:30, five minutes before you usually head off to work. It’s sadder still when that extra 45 minutes of sleep leaves you feeling bright eyed and bushytailed. What ever happened to the days when sleeping in meant waking up at noon, and getting up meant dragging your sleepy sorry excuse of a functioning body out of bed at one’ish?
addendum: And of course as soon as I walked into the office the sleepiness begun to hit me in crashing titanic waves. By 9:30 I would have given almost anything for a pillow, a couch and a blankie.
Posted by munin at Noviembre 14, 2003 08:10 AMI can relate! Hope you're able to rest (and relax) some this weekend!
Posted by: Sue on Noviembre 14, 2003 09:08 AMSleeping in to me means 6 a.m.!
Posted by: steve on Noviembre 14, 2003 12:07 PMHa! I've been getting up anywhere from 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. regularly for the past 4 years. 7:30 a.m. is sleeping in.. and heaven forbid I still be in bed after 8:00 a.m. (what's the point, I'm wide awake anyways...) :)
Think of it this way: more time to enjoy an extra cup/pot of coffee..
Posted by: meterosexual chef on Noviembre 14, 2003 02:53 PMmo. one day i am going to have to get you to write an entry fully detailing the nuances of being a metrosexual chef ;o)
and yes! i know! i am a wuss. Ok?!? :o)
but I really do miss sleeping in till 10ish. i have never been ever really good at sleeping in till noon. that feat belongs to my better half ;oP
Steve, and Mo. i was going to say something about being insane, but i know your reasons as to why 6:00 seems like it's sleeping in and i got to say i admire you both for it. i just can't see myself being happy with the prospect of 6:00 being sleeping in time.
mo, coffee pot?!? next time you are in town we are going to have to discuss this little addiction of yours, so make some time for coffee. ok.
Sue. thank you sweetie. hoping to, but alas am working tomorrow :o(
