Telemarketers are a funny breed and though they can on occasion be crass, tactless, exasperating, arrogant or just plain rude, yet it always amuses me when they ask me if my mom or dad are in. Especially when there is a long pondering mildly confused pause after I say hello. [evil little grin]
Addendum: Though I must admit, on most of these occasions I am sorely tempted to tell the person eviltelemarketer, that 'mommy and daddy are in the bedroom and that mommy is making very funny noises'. Hopefully this will not consequently cause any serious/dangerous/adverse effects to the person on the other end of the line.
I actually had one call 4 times yesterday.. I would answer and they would have a recording saying.."Thank you for calling ..(company name here).. please hold and our representive will be with you shortly"... PLEASE.. first of all I didnt call them, they called me.. and they must be smoking funny stuff to think Im going to hold the line for them.. bwhhaha..

Kaydee, occasionally people mistake me for a child when i answer the phone. *shrug* which i use to my advantage when i really don't want to deal with the dreaded telemarketers. ;o)
