Johnny Cash 1932-2003
John Ritter 1948-2003
Rest ye well, oh weary gentlemen.
Childhood memories, consisted largely of country music, played in the background. A counterpoint to my mom’s need to travel upon the long open road. Filling the empty spaces between the rough transitions over cracks as we raced down the highway seeking out new sights. One of those was the rough baritone of Johnny Cash. His voice would fill the car, transporting us to a new place, diminishing the miles as we were caught up in the tale that he spun.
John Ritter, I shall remember most for his role in ‘Three’s Company’. It is a show I was drawn to as a teenager. I remember racing home at four o’clock, propping myself in front of the tele, losing myself in the slapstick comedy of the show. No, it may not have been his best work, but it is one that I remember the most.
