OK, just had my first Krispy Kreme.
They just opened here.
It was a day old, reheated in the microwave and only one half.
Wow.
It was good. Sweet, but not too sweet. Although I wouldn't want to eat more than one without a good bit of time and some strong coffee between them.
Now, if only they hadn't put it in the middle of nowhere...
Of course, considering how sweet it was, that's probably a good thing.
Now imagine what they're like fresh out of the oven.
Posted by: statia on Mayo 8, 2003 05:30 PMI can't believe you ate one without me. *sniffle*
Wait till you get home Mister. You better have some crumbs left on your face, so I can lick 'em off! Perhaps that is just a wee bit too much information to be sharing with the rest of the world. eh?
As of yet, I haven't been blessed with the chance to devour a Krispy Kreme. I have tried valiantly to hold one in my grasp, but have been thwarted at every turn. I almost had one in Boston, but I had to catch an earlier flight and couldn't join the group I was working with at the time. Almost had the chance to have some in New York, but once again fate intervened. It's just not fair!*sob* I want a Krispy Kreme and I want one right now!
Posted by: munin on Mayo 8, 2003 05:50 PMThere's almost nothing better than a fresh, mildly warm, Krispy Kreme glazed donut.
mmmm mmmm mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Posted by: Melissa on Mayo 8, 2003 06:57 PMI can imagine the sugar rush...
I'd need a pot of BLACK coffee just in order to survive the initial impact of sugar... yummy sugar.
Posted by: Hugin on Mayo 8, 2003 07:13 PMoh my...munin- you are a krispy kreme virgin? you poor deprived woman, you!
congrats on your 'first', hugin!
Posted by: nicole on Mayo 8, 2003 08:05 PMWhere I work we get 2 huge boxes of Krispy Kremes every Monday, and it makes it real hard to be on a no sugar diet. So I've officially declared Monday to be my day of from dieting, but I always feel so guilty about eating 2 or 3 aqnd then sneaking more and hiding them in my desk.
Posted by: stacey on Mayo 8, 2003 11:21 PMAha - now you know why the t-shirts as presents. Figured sooner or later you would get the opportunity. ( BTW - they're Kosher too...)
I like the strawberry-filled ones best. Correction - the ONE - singular. Can't handle more than one without a break; they're too sweet.

Posted by: dad on Mayo 8, 2003 11:28 PMYup, my first :D
Although it was only a half... need a whole one. Not sure if I can handle a whole one, but I'm willing to try!
Yup, the t-shirts work well (at least mine does, until Munin gets to try a Krispy Kreme).
Hmm, strawberry.
I can't wait to try a french crueller!
