Here and yet not.

Just here. Not really anywhere, my thoughts flit about, leaves caught up in the wind. Watched the Oscars last night, but no solid opinions are forthcoming. It was a rather demure affair, which seems befitting considering the current state of the world. Part of me was hoping for something with a little more pizzazz, for light and colour, a moment of brightness, a balm against the darkness. Having written down those thoughts, they seem somehow misplaced. The winter has been too long this year; my soul is yearning for spring, for the sunlight and the warmth, for gentler times.

I think this was one of the best moments of the show. Chutzpah indeed!

Spring is here pretty much. Not there? I'll send you some sunshine girl!

I was proud of Michael Moore. Even if he got boo'd and maybe should or shouldn't have said what he did, I'm glad he did because that is what America is all about - free speech.

And Adrien Brody was so cute.

ms nikki g. umm... nicole.. umm
*sigh* i am so confused. ;o)
thank you dear. *mwah*

Amber, I am all for freedom of speech, and I think that it important to exercise your right to state your views, and yet even as M. Moore was going on, my stomach clenched and I felt very nervous. I can't explain why. Just was.

Adrian Brody, was so cute. The look On Halle Berry face after he planted that kiss was priceless. His speech was very heartfelt. I have a lot of respect for what he said.

I can't watch the Oscars. Don't hate me, but I end up hating myself when I watch that stuff. I would have rooted for Michael Moore, though. And I'm pretty hot for Adrien Brody so I'm glad to hear he apparently won one of those little statue thingy's.

I hope spring speeds it way along soon...for all of us!

Laurie, there is nothing wrong in not watching the Oscars. There have been many years that I have not watched them. This year we elected to, simply because it was the 75th anniversary and we were interested in seeing what they would do.

I have yet to see the Pianist, but it is one of those movies that I would love to see even though I know I'll tear throughout.

That kiss made me a little......uh....warm.

I think Adrien and Halle worked that little bit up to make Halle's hubby a wee bit jealous. Heh. That cheeky playboy might think twice about fooling around on her now.

The Oscars this year have been one of the best andI have been watching them for twenty three years. I would have been just as happy as if Queen Latifah had won but am glad that Catherine Zeta Jones had one now she can get the city to her hometown of Swansea in Wales. I very happy for Nicole Kidman, Adrian Brody and what a great thing for Eminem to win his first Oscar that is not a strange thing at all for all the success that he has achieved so far this is a major one and he very much deserved it. With all the personal issues that he is going through at the moment I am glad congratulations Eminem you earned it. I think you made history to being the first hip hop artist to win an Oscar but I guess that does not matter maybe it does or does not. The highlight of the evening was the improtu kiss that Adrian Brody gave Halle Berry when he received his award that was one of the most beautiful things to ever happen not only on Oscar night or any award night but it is the best kiss since the famous World War II VJ Day kiss and Rodin's The Kiss that was really nice. I really do not know why Halle Berry is still with that Eric Benet he is proven to be another Bobby Brown has not had another hit in quite a while. I used o have respect for him but since his little escapades of late I am losing respect for him and I really liked his music. Halle if Mr Brody is single I think you should go for it what is ten years and besides he is only ten months and three weeks younger than I am and I would go for him. Anyway I need to get a career first I cannot be a kept person. Well to every one else on their win well done and it was nice to see that Micheal Caine was nominated for the first time for best leading actor. Anothr great Oscar night and what a nice thing to see Oliver de Havilland. Tatum O' Neal looked good when she was among the Oscar past winners despite her battles it is thiry years since. Well they missed one person first of all Marissa Tomei was not there considering the fact that she won in 1992 for My Cousin Vinny and maybe she was unable to attend but still they could have shown a picture I guess I have to look again. Another thing even though they had shown Denzel Wahshington in the catogory in the of past winners of Best Supporting Actor and Best Leading Actor (even though he was last shown save the best for last) they did not interview on what it is like to win one but they did show a picture of Halle Berry though. Was he unavailable for comment? Well it was another good night and it was nice of Adrian Brody to have shown his apprciation.

LAST TIME

WELL DONE EMINEM WELL DONE CATHERINE, NICOLE, ADRIAN, CHRIS LLYOD (ADAPTATION), ROMAN POLANSKI ANDALL OF CHICAGO.
