Hark is that a light I see

The first part of the manual is nearing completion. Just another chapter or two, maybe we should make that three, to write, a smattering of exercises to throw in and then we can begin the editing. The red pens will come out and I'll slog through my progressively atrocious spelling, my horrific grammatical errors, my flagrant use of apostrophe’s and hyphenations. The pages will run red with proofreaders mark, each of them pointing out another casualty of my attempts at sounding eloquent and sophisticated. Sophisticated she says, like you can make anything related to software training sound sophisticated. “Push the button to turn computer on. Click on icon with left mouse button”. Yeah that has an air of the cosmopolitan to it, doesn’t it? But soon, soon I will see the light at the end of the long tunnel known as the Training Manual Part I.

I think that technical writing is so difficult. It's hard to be precise and clear and instructive and trying to not put somebody to sleep. I'm glad you're getting ready to edit! Woo Woo!
