Happy St. Patrick's Day!

May the lilt of Irish laughter
lighten every load.
May the mist of Irish magic
shorten every road...
And may all your friends remember
all the favours you are owed!
'Sláinte!'
Some more Irish toasts for you:
Here's to women's kisses, and to whiskey, amber clear;
Not as sweet as a woman's kiss, but a darn sight more sincere!
May your heart be light and happy, May your smile be big and wide,
And may your pockets always have a coin or two inside!
May you be across Heaven's threshold before the old boy knows you're dead.
are you wearing your green?? :)

Posted by: Kymberlie R. McGuire on Marzo 17, 2003 10:35 PMwhy do you say Pattys day and not paddys day? Iwas born and raised in ireland but I dont get it....
Posted by: niamh galvin on Marzo 11, 2004 04:08 PMIt's St. "Patty's" because his name was Patrick...not Padrick. make sense? :)
Posted by: Sarah on Marzo 17, 2004 12:53 PMthe only people who say 'pattie' are americans. No Irish person says it--it's Paddy's day. But then they're too busy strolling (or rolling) round the streets of Dublin in luminous green trousers waving american flags with great big heaving lumps of shamrock hanging out of them to notice what we are actually saying.
