There are a few things that have made me break out in a toothy grin this weekend: The comfort of friends who descended on a home this Saturday to slump about on our floor for a night of mindless movie watching. Our silly cat, who is never quite sure if she wants the affection she craves as she full body flops against your body only to madly scamper back up and pretend to be of the independent sort. The sense that spring is just around the corner. The knowledge that soon I will be able to shed my winter skin, and prance about barefooted amongst the tender green blades of grass, dancing in the sunshine. Most of all my love for the many innumerable things, including his grumpy smile in the morning as he wakes, his bear like embrace and the silly goofy way I feel when I am around him.

Nikki, it has it good points... and occasionally it has it downs too. But the ups keep us going through the low points. :)
