I have always loved astronomy and as a child one of my dreams was to become an Astronaut. To explore new worlds, walk on surfaces where no woman/man has set foot before. That dream went the way of a new pair of glasses at the age of seventeen and the knowledge that because of poor eyesight I would never be able to fly fighter jets let alone pilot the shuttle. So whenever I hear about advances in space or the sighting of some new star, or planet or blackhole a little part of me is giddy once again, and the dream that once was rekindles itself, warming my soul with the promise of new possibilities. This new star was discovered, I am assuming sometimes last week.
It is a faint red star, a so-called red dwarf, and is only 7.5 light years away.- BBC
Other then that still feeling somewhat down in the mouth, hoping that things will look up soon, for everyone. Praying that the month of March will be a joyful cheery month, filled with the promise of new discovery and all things wonderful. Better make that ‘the rest of the year’. [pensive look] I wonder if wishing upon the new star will make all the blechiness go away.
here's to a superfantastique week...hopefully

Posted by: nikki g. on Febrero 18, 2003 10:37 AMThings are getting better already. Days are getting longer, won't be long until summer is here.
I am trying to believe the world situation will get better too, because it can't get much worse.
