well that just sucks

Some meetings just aren't any fun at all. We, the consultants that is, have just been told that we are all getting temporarily laid off and will only be working on a part time basis at 20 hours a week. So here I am a mild wreck wondering what exactly that will mean, wondering how it is going to affect the of paying bills, unemployment insurance, how long this is going to last and a whole slew of other things that my brain just doesn’t want to deal with at this moment. I don’t know if I should begin the long process of finding another job, or if I should just hang tight for a couple of months and see how it all pans out.

I really love this job, even with all the complaining I have done lately. I may not always enjoy butting heads, but I do love the consulting part of this job. I love the fact that we get to see different industries, that we get to work in different companies, even if I miss the people terribly when we do leave. But most of all I like the people that I work with and would hate to leave the comfy niche of them.

Trying to look at the bright side of the coin; at least I’ll get to sleep in on some mornings. This will also give me time to properly set up the Photoblog and play with CCS and other fun stuff.

Yup, the next couple of months are going to be just a wee bit challenging.
