Some people have dubbed me to be a social butterfly while others say that I am a hermit at heart. Personally, I think that I am too shy for my own good. I tend to hide away from people, because I am too scared to deal with them, too afraid of getting hurt. Which is odd because I enjoy meeting new people and enjoy being in social settings just as long as I am not the center of attention. In short I am a recluse who has a webpage, go figure.

Posted by: ginadapooh on Febrero 14, 2003 02:05 AMHmm. Just because someone is shy in public, doesn't mean they don't have any extroversion to them. They may simply be too embarassed, awkward, etc to let it come out.
We have public faces and private faces, or masks if you prefer.
The internet/chatting/email acts as a mask and allows the private face to come through. A shy person can be more outgoing, with fewer consequences. Sure you can definitely receive negative feedback, and that could seriously crush a shy person. But there is also a warm community online and that can nurture someone also.
Hmm, post topic here I guess. Talking about extroversion/introversion etc.
